The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Bill on Amendments to Several Legislative Acts of Ukraine regarding Regulation of Provision of Particular Administrative Services (in the Sphere of Electric Power and Heat Supply)

The bill (Reg. No. 8729) amends the laws "On Electric Power Engineering", "On Cogeneration of Heat Energy and Electric Energy, and Use of Waste Energy Potential", and "On Heat Supply", authorizing the Cabinet of Ministers to fix the rate and order of charge for the licenses issued by the National Electricity Regulatory Commission of Ukraine.

The bill excludes activity on the natural gas market from the scope of the law "On Licensing of Several Types of Economic Activity", which will make state regulation on the natural gas market more effective.
